বায়োগ্রাফি: Born in 1694 Paris, France, François-Marie Arouet also known as Voltaire became one of the leading writers of the Enlightenment. His famed works include the heartbreaking play Zaïre, the historical study The Age of Louis XIV and the sardonic novella Candide. He died shortly after returning to Paris in 1778. Above everything, he believed in the effectiveness of reasoning and logic. He held the belief that no religion, political or otherwise authority should be immune to reason and only precise reasoning can bring social improvement. He highlighted his texts on the significance of acceptance, especially religious tolerance.
