বায়োগ্রাফি: Mary Shelley was a British author who wrote the legendary 'Frankenstein'. Frankenstein also proved to be an important literature contribution by women acceptable. The novel was an expression of Mary's own sense of estrangement and loneliness. Written in 1818, "Frankenstein" was influenced by a scientific feud that ushered in the first battery and our modern understanding of electricity. Lord Byron suggested that they all should try their hand at writing their own horror story. It was at this time that Mary Shelley began work on what would become her most famous novel, Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus. Mary Shelley was born Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin in Somers Town, London, in 1797. She was the second child of the feminist philosopher, educator and writer Mary Wollstonecraft and the first child of the philosopher, novelist and journalist William Godwin. Mary Shelley wrote eight books by herself and one book she co-authored with Percy Bysshe Shelley.
