বায়োগ্রাফি: St. Augustine of Hippo was born in Tagaste, Numidia (now Souk Ahras, Algeria). he was an Algerian-Roman philosopher and theologian of the late Roman / early Medieval period. He is one of the most important early figures in the advancement of Western Christianity and was a major figure in bringing Christianity to dominance in the previously pagan Roman Empire. St. Augustine was the bishop of Hippo (now Annaba, Algeria) from 396 to 430 until his death. He was also a skilled preacher and rhetorician. He is one of the Latin Fathers of the Church and, in Roman Catholicism, is formally recognized as a doctor of the church.
