বায়োগ্রাফি: Howard Pyle was born in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of Painter William Pyle and Margaret Churchman. After attending a privet school, his mother inspired him to study art because of his natural interest in it. At the studio F. A. Van der Wielen he studied for three years in Philadelphia, and this founded the whole of his artistic preparation, he also took a few lessons at the Art Students League of New York. On April 12, 1881He married singer Anne Poole, and the couple had seven children. In 1894 he started teaching illustration first at the Drexel Institute of Art, Science, and Industry (now Drexel University) then at his own Howard Pyle School of Illustration Art. He had many famous student like N. C. Wyeth, Frank Schoonover, Elenore Abbott, Ethel Franklin Betts, Anna Whelan Betts, Harvey Dunn, to name a few. His famous works include The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood, King Arthur, Otto of the Silver Hand, etc.
