বায়োগ্রাফি: Gibran Khalil Gibran was born in the village of Bsharri in the Ottoman Empire (now Lebanon). His parents were Khalil Sa'd Gibran and Kamila Rahmeh Gibran had two younger sisters, Marianna and Sultana, and a half-brother, Boutros, from one of Kamila's previous marriages. Gibran received no formal schooling instead priests visited him regularly and taught the Bible and the Arabic. Gibran arrived to the U.S.A. with his mother and siblings in 1895. There he was enrolled at a school in Boston and his creative skills were easily noticed and presented to Fred Holland Day. At 15 Gibran was sent to Lebanon to enroll at the Collège de la Sagesse in Beirut. In 1902 he lost his younger sister and in 1903 he lost his older-half-brother and mother. 1904 Gibran's drawings were displayed in a Boston studio and his first book was published in Arabic in 1905 in New York City. Educator Mary Haskell funded Gibran’s study in Paris from 1908-1910. His renowned works include The Prophet, The Madman etc.
