বায়োগ্রাফি: Hugh John Lofting is the author of the famous literary character Doctor Dolittle. as an army civil engineer He travelled with the Irish Guards regiment of the British Army in World War I. Not wishing to write to his children about the war and its pain, he wrote imaginative letters which later became the grounds of the successful Doctor Dolittle novels for children. He was wounded severely in the war and moved with his family to Killingworth, Connecticut in 1919. He married three times and had three children, one of whom, his son Christopher, is the executor of his literary estate.
