বায়োগ্রাফি: Francis Bacon, 1st Viscount St Alban or Lord Verulam was a statesman who served as lord chancellor of England and a philosopher for his works like Novum Organum and Works by Francis Bacon of the Renaissance philosophy era. He is known as the father of empiricism. His main ideas consisted of Natural philosophy. Elizabeth I of England employed Bacon as her legal advisor in 1597. He was born to Sir Nicholas Bacon and Lady Anne Bacon. He was educated at the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, Cambridge and, the University of Poitiers. At the age of 45, he married. Due to a lack of heirs, his title went extinct after his death at the age of 64. He has been a patron of libraries. Bacon was the father of the scientific method. He was influenced by the likes of Aristotle, Palissy Telesio, Cicero, Michel de Montaigne, Machiavelli, William Gilbert, etc. and influenced Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Thomas Jefferson, Voltaire, Encyclopédistes, Isaac Newton to name a few.
